Lanny Thorndike

Alexander L. Thorndike (Lanny) began his professional career as an investment analyst and portfolio manager for CC&F Asset Management Company. He subsequently worked as an equity securities analyst at William Blair and Company LLC, where he formed and led their health care services research group.

Lanny is currently Chairman of Century Funds and the lead portfolio manager for both the Century Small Cap Select Fund (CSMVX), and the Century Shares Trust (CENSX), in addition to several of Century’s other institutional portfolio relationships. Lanny is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Century Capital LLC and benefits from over 12 years of experience in equity research and portfolio management experience.

Lanny received his Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, and holds a Masters Degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also serves on the boards of various private and charitable organizations.

Lanny has appeared as a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg television, and has been quoted in major publications, including: The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, Barron’s, Newsweek, Money Magazine, Smart Money, the New York Times and the Boston Globe.
