Scott Svenson is the Founder and Chairman of The Sienna Group. A Seattle native and a graduate with honors from Harvard University, Scott spent 11 years from 1988 to 1999 living and working in London. After six years advising high growth middle-market companies, initially at Drexel, Burnham Lambert (in New York and subsequently London) and then at Apax Partners & Co, Scott became Deputy CEO of CrestaCare plc, a public company and the third largest long-term healthcare provider in the UK. During his three years at CrestaCare, Scott played an instrumental role in turning around the business from operating losses to generating substantial operating profits. 

In 1994, Scott and his wife Ally co-founded Seattle Coffee Company, the first gourmet coffee retailer and wholesaler in the UK. As CEO, Scott built the business to 75 retail locations in under three years (10 of which were operated under license in South Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia), and managed the sale of the company to Starbucks in May 1998. Following the sale, Scott acted as President–Starbucks UK and subsequently President–Starbucks Europe during which time he authored the company’s European Strategic Plan.

Scott sits on the Boards of Banner Retail Marketing (Chairman), Ivey Imaging (Chairman), Redwood Real Estate Partners (Chairman), Carluccio’s Ltd, Pyramid Breweries, Grosvenor House Group, Puget Sound Bank, University of Washington Business School (Advisory Board), and Childhaven (Board of Trustees).

Most importantly, Scott is married to an amazing woman, Ally, and has four incredible little boys, Tristan, Dillon, Caspian and Jasper.
