The Sienna Group is a Seattle-based private investment firm that partners with management to acquire promising middle market companies primarily based on the West Coast. Our approach is somewhat unique. As we are a holding company as opposed to a fund, we are free to take a very long-term view – consequently, our ideal partnerships last forever. Based upon our long-term orientation, we set a high bar when selecting new partner companies. The business must be profitable, sustainable and, most importantly, led by people of the highest integrity who are passionate about what they do.  

As our returns are earned from the cash flow generated by our partner companies, and not the trading or sale of businesses, we are totally focused on building profitable businesses that will stand the test of time. By providing long-term and patient capital, we provide a stable foundation upon which a truly enduring company can be built. This orientation, which differs significantly from traditional equity fund managers, allows us to do what is right for the business in the long-term even when it may negatively impact short-term performance. 

We are not limited by the types of opportunities or transaction structures we can consider. We bring a creative and flexible approach to designing partnerships that meet the needs of all parties. Once we have made an investment, we are prepared to roll up our sleeves. We believe that by developing a highly collaborative and engaged partnership with management we are best able to help them achieve their goals for the business.
